Crested Floating Heart Biology and Management
Crested floating heart is an emerging aquatic weed problem in the southeastern U.S. It reproduces rapidly via multiple mechanisms and has been difficult to control. We have conducted research to better understand vegetative reproduction of the species and to improve management options for resource managers. Our extension efforts assist managers with detecting, quantifying, and managing this invasive plant.
